Qing Dynasty Teaboat
Size: ~10cm
Use: Traditionally used to catch rinse water beneath a gaiwan or teapot during gongfu tea.
Hand-painted blue radiating grass-stroke border around a double-ringed centre mark, on a soft blue-white glaze. Glaze has worn away at the footring with age, leaving light rust (iron-oxide) staining typical of the group.
Care: Hand wash gently in lukewarm water; avoid sudden temperature changes and dishwashers.
Dynasty attribution is based on style and construction; exact date is not certified.
Note: We try to display pictures as accurately as possible but we do not offer exchanges or returns on antiques.
