Two Paths, One Origin

All Cha Zhi Ji pu-erh comes from ancient tea trees in Yunnan's remote mountain forests, picked once a year to protect the trees and preserve their depth of flavor. From here, the leaves take one of two paths: aged naturally as raw Sheng pu-erh, or fermented through traditional wet-piling into ripe Shou pu-erh.

Sheng vs. Shou, at a Glance

Sheng pu-erh is sun-dried and left to age naturally — bright and floral when young, transforming over years into something deep and mellow, prized by collectors for how it evolves. Shou pu-erh is fermented through wet-piling to fast-track that transformation, giving a smooth, earthy, ready-to-drink character from the start.
